Donateur

The BPV is the professional organisation representing most foreign correspondents covering the Netherlands for foreign media outlets. Our members work for some of the most important international media including Reuters, Dow Jones, the Associated Press, the BBC, the Financial Times, El País and some 100 other media outlets.

In addition to professional journalist members, many Dutch companies and organisations sign up as sponsors, or donateurs, in order to help us do our work. Please click here to see a complete list of current donateurs.

The BPV opens doors for our members. We provide a press pass which is accepted throughout the Netherlands as an official identification, giving members access to press conferences and news locations. We also organise events with the top newsmakers in the Netherlands. About once a month we sponsor working lunches for journalists with civic and corporate leaders. Please see "events" for more details.

Our donateurs are very important to us, but they also benefit from their membership. We publish a membership list once a year, which is distributed to the sponsors, as well as a yearbook displaying some of the important stories written by our members. The list is also available in electronic form for our donateurs.

We hold receptions in The Hague and Amsterdam, to give our members and donateurs an opportunity to socialise together. Our goal is to increase the level of involvement between sponsors and our organisation for the mutual benefit of both donateurs and members.
